この花のように、雄しべが見えない咲き方を、千重咲き(センジュザキ、またはセンエザキ)ともいうそうです。でも、千枚も花びらはないですね。
Double-flowered flowers with invisible stamens like this are sometimes called "Sen-Jyu-Zaki, or Sen-E-Zaki" in Japanese, and this means that a flower has so many petals as if there were a thousand.
