The parachute in the old NASA video appeared to be in the shape of a chrysanthemum flower. This is the parachute on the first stage of the Orion spacecraft, This image was taken by the unmanned Orion spacecraft as it reentered the atmosphere during the Artemis 1 mission. (2022)
Now, let me introduce a Greek myth about Orion, the Hunter and Artemis, the goddess. Orion is the son of Poseidon, the god of the sea. Artemis is the goddess of moonlight and hunting.
They fell deeply for each other, yet Artemis's brother Apollo, the sun god, wasn't pleased. One day, Apollo urged Artemis to try shooting an arrow at that glowing target. The arrow Artemis fired struck its target perfectly, and Orion died. That glowing target was Orion.
When Artemis learned that it was Orion, she was deeply saddened, so she pleaded with her father, Zeus, to raise Orion to the heavens and turn him into a constellation.
