段戸襤褸菊(ダンドボロギク) fire weed

　ダンドボロギクは、山火事の後や、廃道になった場所に、真っ先に生えてくるパイオニア植物（先駆植物）です。何処にでも生えている草ですが、あまり注目されることはないようです。名前もボロなので、しょうがないですね。
　英名は、山火事の後に生えてくるので、炎の草（fire weed）です。

　Fire Weed is a pioneering plant that emerges first in regions following wildfires or former road sites. It's a weed that grows everywhere, but it doesn't seem to get much attention. The Japanese name includes the meaning "tattered", so I guess it can't be helped.
