大根(ダイコン) violet orychophragmus

　大根の収穫は、花が咲く前に行なわれるので、花を見る機会はあまりありません。それは、ショカツサイの花ににています。

　Since violet orychophragmus are harvested before they bloom, there are few chances to see the flowers. The flowers resemble those of Orychophragmus violaceus.

文目(アヤメ) siberian iris

　小道の塀際に咲いていました。アヤメとカキツバタ、ハナショウブはよく似ているので区別は難しいですが、ここは湿地ではないのでアヤメだと思います。

　It blooms along the wall of the path.

　Siberian iris, rabbitear iris, and Japanese iris are very similar, so it is difficult to distinguish them, but I think it is a Siberian iris because here is dry ground.

　アオキは雌雄異株で、これは雌株の花です。

　曲げると簡単に折れる緑色の幹は、古くなると、表面は、灰茶色で粗いコルク質になるので見栄えがしません。

　A Japanese laurel is dioecious, and this is a female flower.

　The green trunk, which breaks easily when bent. The surface becomes grayish-brown cork quality over time and has a rough surface, which makes it unattractive.

アジュガ ajuga

　アジュガは、変わった名前だと思います。名前の由来はなんなのでしょう。

　いかにもシソ科の植物ですという様相です。

　Ajuga's appearance is nothing but a perilla family plant.

　根っこが、長い年月をかけて、次第に石垣を抱き込んでいきます。その木は、激流をいなし変形すれども、そこ根を張ったままです。

　植物に秘められた力の存在を感じます。

石ころ stone

　それぞれの石ころには今になった長い歴史があり、どんな経験をしてきたか想像していると、愛着を感じることもあります。でも、通り過ぎれば、二度と巡り合うことはありません。人もおなじ。

 　今朝の朝食のバナナの輪切りは、気がつけば放射能標識に似ていました。

　政府は、破壊された福島原子力発電所から大量の汚染水を海に放出する計画を承認しました。汚染水は、汚染物質の濃度が国際的な安全レベルを満たすように希釈されますが、それでも放射性トリチウムは含まれているのです。

　I recognized the banana slice for breakfast this morning looked like a sign of radioactivity.

　The Japanese government has approved a plan to release a large amount of contaminated water from the crippled Fukushima nuclear power plant into the sea. The water will be diluted so the concentration of contaminants meets global safety levels, but it still contains radioactive tritium.
