サイカチ Gleditsia japonica

この木は鋭いトゲを持つので近寄りたくありません。ところが、象は、近づくだけでなく、この実を食べることができます。ナウマンゾウがこの実を食べて、日本列島にサイカチの分布を広げたそうです。
花が咲くには、あと2ヶ月ほど先です。
