タイサンボクの実 fruit of southern magnolia

大きな花が咲いたあとに、実がなりますが、熟す前になぜか根本から折れるものが多く、地面には落下した未熟な実が散乱します。軸は、水平方向のみ容易に折れる構造です。種の選択が働くのでしょうか。
