ネギと春野草 welsh onion & spring wildflowers

　ネギが春の野草に囲まれて育っています。あるいは、ほったらかされているのかも。

　Japanese welsh onions are growing surrounded by spring wildflowers. Or they may have been forgotten.

バルボコジューム bulbocodium

　バルボコジュームはその形から、ペチコートスイセンとも呼ばれます。

　話は脱線しますが、ペチコートガバメント(Petticoat-government)には、かかあ天下という意味もあります。

　Barbokojume is also called petticoat daffodil because of its shape. 

　This may be off the track, but "Petticoat-government" means that government by women, whether in politics or domestic affairs.

タンポポ dandelion

　最近見るタンポポの花は、地面に張り付いたものばかりです。子供の頃に見たタンポポの茎は、もう少し長かったと記憶しています。ブタナほど長くはないのですが。

　Most of the dandelion flowers I see nowadays stick on the ground. I remember the dandelion stems I saw in my childhood were a bit longer. It's not as long as the catsear (or false dandelion.) 

ミニラッパ水仙 mini trumpet daffodil

　右向け右っ！　お行儀よく揃って咲いています。

　Right for right! They are well-behaved and blooming.

クロッカス crocus

　クロッカスが、私を写真に撮ってと言わんばかりに咲いていました。

　Crocuses were in full bloom as if they would like to be taken a picture.

水仙 The daffodils

I wandered lonely as a cloud

That floats on high o'er vales and hills,

紅葉カルーナ heath

　何が咲いているのかと近寄ってみると、紅葉したカルーナでした。「嵐が丘」の舞台とされた荒涼とした原野に育っているのでしょか。

　When I approached the place where it was in bloom, it was the autumn leaves of Heath. I assume it grows in the desolate wilderness where set the stage for "Wuthering Heights."
