オオカッコウアザミ flossflower

　花びらが細く長いので、花は髪を振り乱した頭のようにも見えます。

　Petals are thin and long, so the flowers have the appearance of a head with hair in disorder.

花葱(ハナネギ) Allium giganteum

　ハナネギは遠くから何回か鑑賞したことがありますが、今回は近くから観察することができました。

　I have seen allium giganteum a few times from a distance, but this time I was able to observe it closely.

ホワイト・スイート・バイオレット sweet white violet

　茎が葉の上に弧を描き、その先端の花がある構成が目を引きます。

　The stem has drawn an arc above the leaf, and the flower bloom at its end, this  composition attracts my attention.

雄羊歯(オシダ) crown wood-fern

　林の中には、放射状に葉を広げた大型の羊歯の群生があり、その数と大きさに圧倒されました。

　写真は背景に青緑の沼を入れたので、文章を表現したものではなくなりました。

　In the forest, crown wood-fern with radiating leaves grow in colonies. I was overwhelmed by the size and the number of them.

昼咲月見草(ヒルザキツキミソウ) showy evening primrose

　ヒルザキツキミソウは、昼間に咲いて２～３日はしぼみませんが、ツキミソウは、夕方から夜にかけて咲き、一晩で萎んでしまいます。

　日本では、ツキミソウとマツヨイグサは、よく混同されます。

　Showy evening primroses, or pinkladies, bloom in the daytime and do not wither for two or three days. On the other hand, evening primroses bloom from evening to night and wither overnight.

　In Japan, evening primrose and evening primrose are often confused.

小判草(コバンソウ) quaking grass

　穂はいくつかの節から構成されているので、柔軟に曲がります。植物というより節足動物のようです。

　The ears consist of several nodes, so that they bend flexibly. It appears to be an arthropod rather than a plant.

マリーゴールド marigold

　マリーゴールドの根から分泌する成分は、土中のセンチュウを激減させる効果があるそうです。また、独特の匂いを蚊が嫌うとも聞きますので、鉢植えを玄関に置きました。

　The ingredients secreted from the roots of marigolds are said to have the effect of drastically reducing nematodes in the soil. I also hear that mosquitoes dislike the unique smell, so I put a potted plant at the entrance of my house.
