小手毬(コデマリ) reeves spirea

　時々通る農道脇に育つ、高さ２ｍ位ほどに育ったコデマリです。今までその存在に気が付かなかったのですが、これまでどこを見ていたのでしょう。
　この花は、直径3cmほどの毬（まり）のように咲きますが、横から見ると半球形です。
　なるべく視点を変えて、物事を見ようとする心構えはありますが、最初に見た視点からだけで、本質が分かったつもりになってしまうことが多いです。幾つになっても。

　A Reeves spirea that grows up to 2 meters tall is growing beside a farm road I occasionally pass by. I hadn't noticed its existence until now, but what have I been looking at all along?
　The flower blooms as a ball about 3 cm in diameter, but when viewed from the side, it appears hemispherical.
　I will try to look at things from different angles, but often I end up thinking I understand the essence of the things based only on the first perspective I saw. Despite my age, I remain unchanged.
