金鎖の種(キングサリの種) golden chain seeds

　花も終わり、まだ頼りなさそうなサヤができました。サヤの中には豆があるのがわかりますが、有毒物質のアルカロイドが含まれているので、食べることはできません。中国ではこの豆を毒豆と呼ぶそうです。

　The flowers have finished blooming, and the sheaths, which still look rather fragile, are beginning to form. You can see that there are beans inside the sheaths, but they contain a toxic substance called an alkaloid, so they are not edible. Apparently, in China, this bean is known as the ”poison bean:毒豆”.
