シャレーポピー Shirley poppy

　燃え上がるように、シャレーポピーが咲いています。妖精が舞い降りてくる予感がしたので、写真の上にスペースを開けましたが、降りては来ませんでした。
　シシリー・メアリー・バーカーさん(1895-1973)の描いたイラスト"flower fairies"を、是非ご覧になってください。細密な植物描写と純粋無垢な妖精に心を奪われます。

　The Shirley Poppies are blooming as if ablaze. I had a feeling a fairy might come down, so I left some space at the top of the photo, but nothing happened.
　Please be sure to take a look at the illustrations "flower fairies" by Cicely Mary Barker (1895–1973). I am captivated by the intricate botanical illustrations and the innocent fairy.
