赤芽柏(アカメガシワ) Japanese mallotus

 　アカメガシワは、春には鮮やかな赤い新芽をだすことで知られています。この植物は雌雄異株です。雄花を見つけましたが、雌花は咲いていませんでした。

　Japanese mallotus are known for their striking red new shoots in spring. This plant is dioecious. I found male flowers, but there were no female flowers there.
