透百合(スカシユリ) thunberg lily

　この花は、日本原産のスカシユリです。 6枚ある花びらの根元が細くなっているので、花びらと花びらの間に隙間ができます。そこから地面や向こう側が「透けて見える」ことが花の名前の由来です。
　上向きに咲くことも、百合としては珍しい特徴です。

　This flower is a Thunberg lily, which is native to Japan. The Japanese name for it is Sukasi-lily. Sukasi means transparent.
　The base part of each six petals is narrow, creating gaps between them. The flower gets its name from the fact that you can transparent it to the ground or the other side. 
　Blooming upwards is also an unusual characteristic for a lily family.
